The Reykjavik Marathon celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. There are four differnt event available. The Reykjavik Marathon is held on August 24th, the same day as Reykjavik Culture Night.

Marathon, half marathon, 10K and fun run. Note that only the 10K run gives points for the Gatorade Summer Series.
Location
The run begins at Sóleyjargata and ends in Lækjargata in front of the school Menntaskólinn við Reykjavik. Here are the race maps.
Registration
Registration for the event is on the Reykjavik marathon website www.rmi.is/en Registration online will end when the expo and bib pickup closes on Friday evening before the event.

Reykjavik Sports Association is the organizer of the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon.
